Uniform Policy

Loma Vista School         

To the Parents/Guardians of Loma Vista:

 

Loma Vista School has in effect a Dress Code for all students.  The Board of Trustees of the South Whittier School District approved this policy in 1996.  This policy states that all students are to abide by the School Dress Code. 

 

SCHOOL DRESS CODE

COLORS

            Tops – White, Red or Blue solid color / no stripes without pictures or logos

            Bottoms – Navy Blue or Khaki

GIRLS

            Jumpers and Skirts

            Long Pants or walking shorts

            Blouses, Polo Shirts, Turtlenecks

            Sweaters, Cardigans, Pullovers or V-Neck

            Shoes – Closed toe shoe appropriate for school wear (No sandals), no slip-ons or ballerina style shoes.

BOYS

            Long Pants or walking shorts

            Collar Shirts, Polo Shirts, Turtlenecks

            Sweaters, Cardigans, Pullovers or V-Neck

            Shoes – Closed toe shoe appropriate for school wear (No sandals)

 

CLOTHING NOT ALLOWED

            Jeans are not allowed unless a special dress day

            Inappropriate pictures, words, and/or symbols that are related to drugs, sex, and/or gangs

 

ITEMS/ACTIVITIES NOT ALLOWED

            Insulting, demeaning, and/or inappropriate items/clothing

            Hats/caps, make-up, acrylic nails and hoop earrings

            Cell phone use during the school day is not allowed

 

SPECIAL DRESS DAYS

            Student Council will have monthly spirit dress days as well as picture days.
