Principal's Message

Dear Loma Vista Families,

It is with much excitement that I welcome back our families to an updated looking Loma Vista.  For some of you this will be a continuation of a long-standing relationship with our seasoned staff and welcoming school community.  For others this will be your first year in what we hope is the beginning of many great years to come.

As principal I welcome the opportunity to build relationships with the Loma Vista students, families, and staff.   Join us in making school a great experience, as parent involvement is an integral part of our students' education.   We have a number of opportunities for parents to be involved and support the school.  We appreciate the parents and other family members who participate on our School Site Council, Parent Teacher Association, and classroom volunteers.  Please speak with someone in our front office if you’d like to become more involved at Loma Vista School.

The Loma Vista staff and I want to take the opportunity to thank you in advance for your partnership in your child’s education and for everything you do to make education a top priority in our community.  This school year we will focus on making all our Lobos readers.  For our primary students lets work on learning our Fry word high frequency words, and learning to love to read. For our upper grade students we will be working on building reading stamina, reading for the love of reading and reading to comprehend new and informative text.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, ideas, concerns or if you are interested in becoming involved in our efforts at (562) 941-4712 or you can send me an email at [email protected] I am available for appointments with parents, community and business partners.
